Spacers before Braces... should they hurt this much!?

I am getting braces this week so I just got spacers put in yesterday. The Dentist told us that it would hurt for at least 24 hours, yet today the whole back of m mouth feels like one giant bruise and I can't eat anything or even put my teeth together without pain. Anyone else have this happen?

yes. that happened to me to. just try to eat soft things and don't eat crunchy things. it will go away soon.

same thing happened to me

no big deal, in about 2-3 days the pain will leave

Spacers absolutely suck. The same thing happened to me, I could barely eat. I recommend eating soft foods. Soups, mashed potatoes, pasta, yogurt, ice cream. Good luck!

My sister got that too and she ate Mash Potatoes From KFC. And drink Ensure.
