Question:

Spacers question...?

I got spacers in on Friday.. (yesterday).. and they are a huge discomfort, and i've been taking Ibuprofen for the headaches they've been giving me. I get them off next Friday, and was wondering, will I be able to eat any solid foods throughout this time period with the spacers, or will they be too sore the whole week to touch anything solid?

Thanks..

  1. the longer you have them the more you will get used to them. they are painful but with time it will get better. you will eat solids again, dont worry!

  2. mine only hurt for about 3 or 4 days!

  3. They should be better within a few more days.  The next thing, it'll just feel like a piece of meat is stuck in your teeth.  That'll be the worst part about it after the pain wears off.  Solid food will be fine.

  4. Don't worry, they are not as bad as braces, and it depends on how thick they are. I am getting spacer on my bottom teeth tuesday, I had spacers before on my top teeth, I only have brakets on my top teeth now, bottom brackets soon.
