Spaghetti noodles , is it Chinese or Italian in origin?

  1. Noodles originatied in China, and were brought back to Italy by Marco Polo.

    The Italians from there developed their own unique varieties of pasta, which uses a dough made from semolina, water, salt and egg.

    Spaghetti and Noodles are not the same thing.

In 1154, a reference can be found in "The Book of Roger" written by Abu Abdullah Mohammed al Edrisi, a court chronicler and geographer to King Roger II of Sicily (a century before the birth of Marco Polo). It states that in the Sicilian town of Trabia, a form of pasta made from hard wheat was eaten by its inhabitants. This product was shaped into long strands and manufactured in large quantities for export.

  10. Spaghetti is Italian, but noodles is Chinese. Marco Polo traveled on the Silk Road to Asia and saw that they were eating noodles. So, he liked the way it looked and tasted(i think) and then he went back to Italy with the idea of spaghetti.
