Hey everybody, I was just wondering If anyone knows if spain Is like Mexico when it comes to buying medicine at the local Pharmacy. I currently live in norway and am going to spain for quite some time. Im on a few different meds like Vicodin and Xanax. Also take prednisone alot for lung complications. Will it be a hassle for me to get a perscription In spain ? Will I have to see a doctor or can I just go to a pharmacy and show them my medicine bottle and thats enough. And please dont answer if your going to call me a pill addict or whatever. Really need to know this.

Thanks,

  1. You'll need a doctors note for a prescription. An old bottle won't work. The pharmacies I went into were very lax (compared to the US at least) and no verification was done to check validity of info and you can use the same note many times, they dont seem to care if you really have a condition.
