Does anyone know if there are any bullfights scheduled in Madrid between the 16th and 19th of July? Or Barcleona between the 19th and the 22nd July?

  1. Bullfights are on Sundays, so there should be one in Barcelona on 7/22.  2007 is the last year they will have bullfighting in Barcelona -- it's not really very poplular with the locals, mostly tourists go.  Madrid is a much better place to see a bullfight because the crowd is half the show, too bad you won't be there on 7/22.

  2. There are no bull fights in Barcelona. It is not part of Catalan culture. Try Tarragona.

The bull ring in Madrid is called Las Ventas.

Have a look at www.lasventas.com for dates, booking and eveything.

Please think carefully. Do you really want to witness ritual slaughter?

I do not like paying good money for a bull fight only to have to put up with the spectacle of fainting, vomiting tourists spoiling my view.

    Enjoy!

  3. it is not a bullfight... the bull never wins. =(
