  1. What currency are you using?  Since, you know, the Euro (in general) represents most of Europe...

What about a bull?  some famous dishes (do a search)?  Flamenco dancer?  guitar?  fan?  typical arts and crafts?  coat of arms?  One or more of the famous monuments/landmarks?

  2. You've already had a lot of good suggestions. Here is another few.

How about a picture of Guernica (picasso) or something by Dali to represent art/culture?

Rice could represent Paella a very typical spanish dish.

Wine or an empty bottle depending on school policies, wine is very representative of spain!

Tapas are very typical you could have olives with toothpicks in them to represent this. Eating is a huge part of culture.

  3. The wines of La Rioja, Paella (a rice dish), San Fermín in Pamplona, Castellers in Cataluña (towers of men, up to 7 people high), the king Don Juan Carlos representing the state, the best olive oil of the world, the wines of Jerez (Sherry) and the deriving brandies, the marriage between same gender (probably th most liberal legislation of the world), the Semana Santa (week before Eastern) of Sevilla, murcia and other places big or small, the bombs of ETA-terrorists, the problems with water (desertification of parts of Spain), about 20% of electricity come from renewable sources (wind especially).

  4. Wine, Olive Oil, Guitar, Castanets, Cross (Catholic symbol), Saffron, Serrano Ham,
