  1. Jalonvillarentals.com   We stayed in a villa in Rafol de almunia through this company, villa was reasonable and spotless! swimming pool and it slept up to 10 people!  The area the company deal with are amongst typically spanish villages and if you want the bizz then you can drive to it in 20 mins!

  2. Nerja!

    Its near Malaga

  3. Try inland from the coast, in Andalucía.  try to stay away from the touristy spots, so, skip the towns with names you know.

  4. i went to spain. and it was REALLY nice.  i rented a villa for 2 weeks. it was NOT at all touristy, but if u travelled to the nearest train station. aprox 5 mins from where i was staying, and hopped on a train to Barcelona or Tarragona, it was pretty amazing to be honest.

    i really hope this helps.

but if your looking for a beachy place, i would not advice Tarragona, but if ur looking for more culture. then DEFINATLY go to Tarragona or Barcelona.

    Goodluck.

please let me know how u got on with my advice. ! =)

  5. benidorm its lovely

  6. cantabria in the north  just as you describe

  7. Try Orihuela Costa in Costa Blanca. You will find nice beaches and very hot temperatures. Plenty of British residents too.
