OK. i got one more question for all u people out there.......i need some sites that can give me some info on the world of tapas! so....i guess my question is .....

Basically, Tapas are just small servings of anything that you can order anyway.

Borders has a little book of tapas recipes, again, sort of modern stuff.  For the most part, anyplace you go in Spain, you´ll find bars selling tapas, which are nothing more nor less than typical Spanish foods, in small portions, so any recipe from a Spanish cookbook, served up on bread and butter plates, would work.

Typical ones that come to mind really quickly

Paella

Hígado en jerez

chipirones/calamares en su tinta

pulpo a la gallega

pulpo romano

caracoles (snails)

Gambas al ajillo (shrimp scampi)

olives usually mixed sizes and colors

espinacas con garbanzos

tortilla

croquetas

Look for chorizo al vino tinto tapa's... OHHHH...tasty... the famous patatas bravas...and the best bar of tapas I found it on Donosti, on the main street in the old part of the city, near the San sebastian's cathedral... and don't forget u most ask for a good rioja one to make the perfect match
