Spain’s Bribon and Ngoni of Great Britain hold on to overall lead of 2011 Region of Murcia Trophy
With the help of a consistent sail, the overall Transpac (TP) 52 series leader, Bribon from Spain and Soto 40 series leader, Great Britain’s Ngoni, have maintained their top spots successfully
so far. Both yachts have shown a great deal of determination to hold on to their lead in their respective classes after Day 4 of 2011 Audi MedCup Region of Murcia Trophy in Cartagena, Spain.
The local favourite in TP52 class, Bribon have been quite outstanding throughout the tournament, grabbing the overall lead of the class from the very beginning. Though they couldn’t clinch
the coastal race on Day 4 but they still managed to finish third. The Spanish team will be looking forward to claim the title of 2011 Region of Murcia Trophy.
Meanwhile, Great Britain’s Ngoni are likely to break the monopoly of Iberdrola Team in the Soto 40 series by clinching the title. They are currently leading the Soto 40 standings with
11 points followed by the 2011 Audi MedCup Circuit leaders Iberdrola Team. Ngoni have shown extraordinary sailing skills in the tournament and is favourite to snatch the event title.
