  1. Because it's closer to the EQUATOR!

  2. Coz the Andalusian Summers get pretty hot... so they r naturally tanned i guess... or u must be talking about the ethinic romani  people of Andalusia... they could have a darker complexion... coz they r ethnically related to the Romani people... in the Mediterranean.....fom Romania, Greece etc.

  3. Because the Moors from Africa lived there during the Middle Ages. The two blood lines must have mixed to create a darker complexion.

  4. Some Spaniards in the south of Spain may be darker because of a small percentage of them mixing with moors. Also because farther to the south the climate is hotter, so they have gotten a bit  darker skin throught all these years of evolution. But as you go to the north of Spain you'll se that people are as white as all other Europeans. The same with the south of France, and Greeks and southern Italians.

  5. The majority of Spaniards are lightly complex ed. However, due to the factors previously commented by others, few are dark in skin tone.

  6. Its a combination of many factors.  For one, it is extremely close to the Continent of Africa allowing it to have better gene flow in that region.  Secondly, Spain is a dryer landscape then most of Europe and is expose to the sun more often. Dark complexion then become biologically favorable because it can block UV rays better.  So through natural selection, Spaniards tend to be dark skinned.
