Spanish 2 Class assignment help.?

My teacher wants the class to find a world current event related to a spanish speaking country, read it, and print it out along with a hand written Paragraph summary, which has to be at least 5 sentences. In 9th grade, I did something similar in Earth science, but now I don't know what quite to look for and how to write this summary so that I'll get my ten points.

The reason why Im so concerned for a small assignment is because back in spanish 1, my original teacher got fired for not doing his job correctly, (it was basically relaxing, play cards, listen to music type of thing, and he gave grades on some small worksheets, and gave pionts depending on how much he liked the student). So basically I barely learned the nessacarry things for spanish 2 (we had a sub for the remaining month and a half). Some of the review this time starting out barely makes any sense.

Hi, I have been a Spanish teacher for 18 years.  What I recommend is to search a trusted news site, such as CNN, for stories related to Spanish-speaking countries.  There was a plane crash in Spain yesterday, politics in Cuba and Venezuela are headlines lately, too.  Read the article and pick out the main theme and main players. It helps if you can jot down the who, what, where, when, why, how of the article, then write your summary from those answers.  Remember, it's important to write in your own words.  Hope this helps!  Buena suerte!
