Spanish La Liga – Barcelona look to continue winning ways
The current Spanish Champions are going to the next La Liga fixture as table leaders.
Barcelona currently have 49 points, two points above Real Madrid, who are still in the title race even though they suffered a 5-0 loss to the La Blaugrana.
The Spanish Champions are going to be stepping onto the pitch with a positive vibe in the Nou Camp. They won their last Spanish La Liga fixture against Deporitvo 0-4 while being away from home.
Deportivo looked to be a tough side to beat at home but Josep Guardiola’s men were successful away from home and struck four goals to get all three points. With that win, Barcelona managed to extend their record to 9 consecutive away wins in the Spanish
La Liga.
No other Spanish team has done this so far. The Catalan side have not lost a single game while being away from home.
Moreover, during the second round of the Spanish La Liga, the Spaniards lost a home fixture to the newly promoted side, Hercules.
However, since then they have not suffered a single defeat, at home or while being away. They are currently 27 matches unbeaten and they have equalized their record winning streak of the 1973-1974 season.
The home fixture against Malaga is definitely going to be special for Josep Guardiola, who is about to write his name in the history books of the club yet again by accomplishing what the team managed to achieve back in 1973-1974.
The La Blaugrana are definitely going to be positive about this fixture as they also won the midweek fixture against Real Betis.
Real Betis are currently at the top of the second division in the Spanish La Liga and they looked to be a tough nut to crack for the Catalan Giants during the Copa Del Rey quarter final.
However, Josep Guardiola, sent down the best of his men and made sure that they win the game. Even though the French full back, Eric Abidal, missed out being in the first team and the Brazilian full back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maxwell-c25051 joined the team, Barcelona won the game 5-0
at home and made sure that they qualify for the semi final stage.
Currently, Barcelona are favourites to win not only the Spanish La Liga but also the UEFA Champions League and the Copa Del Rey.
Josep Guardiola’s men are on their way to winning another treble and with three Ballon d’Or finalists in the same team, they might be the only team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, who can achieve such a feat.
The fixture against Malaga is not going to be easy for the Spanish Champions. The home record of the Catalan Giants is not as strong as their away record.
Barcelona may have won all their matches while being away from home, but the five points that they dropped this season were all at home. They lost 0-2 against Hercules and drew the match against Michael Laudrup’s Mallorca.
If Barcelona manages to win this game, they will go five points clear ahead of the Los Blancos, who will play their game after Barcelona, and the La Blaugrana will definitely put some pressure on them.
The question is whether they can pull off another record and in case http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629.
