Spanish La Liga Preview - Part 2
Villareal have proven to be very strong at their home this season and they have won all six games on home ground. They have won all six of these games during the Spanish La Liga and the Europa League. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid has been unable to
find their form and rythm during the away matches. They have managed to win against Atletic Bilbao; while drawing against the in form Valencia and losing their contest against Seville. The Madrid side is also expecting their goalkeeper David De Gea back in
action as he was sidelined for a week because of an injury.
The other Barcelona side, Espanyol are going to try their best to get past Atletico and that is only possible if Villareal can continue with their “all-winning” home run while Espanyol are going to try to take a win against the improving side Levante.
Espanyol are very strong at home as well and they have made their home, Cornella a fortress but Levante are a side that has finally found some ground in the Spanish La Liga and they now have a relatively good record after losing the first three
games. Levante are now unbeaten in the last four games; however, they still need to record a win away from home.
Seville can also hop back into the top six but that is only going to happen in case they get over their last week’s poor performance against Sporting. Even though they are going to try their best to defeat Atletic Bilbao as they are going
to visit their home ground Sanchez Pijuan on Sunday, the task is definitely going to be difficult as Bilbao are definitely a strong side.
Getafe, who are only a place below Atletic Bilbao, have to put a full stop at their inconsistent form and they need to start winning games. They have lost four of their last six games and now they have to face Sporting Santander on Saturday. Getafe definitely
needs to create more chances and they need to win the game in order to move a place above Atletic Bilbao.
At the bottom of the table, points are definitely needed as Deportivo and Real Sociedad, both need to win games in order to make their way out of the relegation zone. Both these teams are in desperate need of points and these are the two sides who are going
to face each other at Donostia on Monday night.
Real Sociedad have been in great form at home as they are the ones who have managed to defeat Villareal and Espanyol at their home ground. They almost drew a game against the La Liga giants Real Madrid but unfortunately they went on to lose the game. On
the contrary, Deportivo still needs to win a game and they have only one point which they gained in the draw against Seville as they were away to face them. Deportivo lost the games against Villareal and Real Madrid and did not win a single game throughout
the season.
Osasuna and Malaga are also going to face each other in Pamplona and Pandiani is expected to start alongside Aranda who is going to be backed by Camacho up front. Punal is definitely going to be back for Osasuna as well while Malaga are going to be without
their injured midfielder Rondon who was very impressive in the game against Real Madrid which was played last week.
