Spanish La Liga player ratings: Real Madrid 1 – 0 http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sevilla-FC-c40484 (Part 2)
Sevilla FC
Andres Palop – 5
A disappointing afternoon’s work was made even worse after Palop conceded the goal at his near post. The Rojiblancos’ custodian had his angles all wrong and the blame for Sevilla defeat rests firmly on his head.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mouhamadou-Dabo-c26889 – 6
Dabo kept http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 at bay – no easy task – for much of the game but undid all his good work by conceding a red card following a crazy challenge on Di Maria.
Martin Caceres – 6.5
The Uruguayan has found a new lease of life with Sevilla and continued the good form against mighty Real Madrid. Caceres kept Benzema jingling in his back pocket throughout the 90 minutes in what was yet another assured display.
Julien Escude – 7
An excellent outing on the night by the Sevilla centre back who had utmost dominance in his box and won everything in the air and on ground – extremely unfortunate to be on the losing side Escude.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Navarro-c13691 – 6.5
The aged legs of Navarro showed all the years of experience as he kept the likes of Ozil and Di Maria under check for much of the evening and was tidy in possession.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Abdoulay-Konko-c3249 – 6.5
Konko had to put in a disciplined display in front of his back four and he did just that last night to limit Real’s attacks though the middle.
Romaric – 6
It was a strange game from Romaric. The Ivorian won his physical battle with Khedira hands-down but his passing was woeful.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Zokora-c11056 – 6.5
Sevilla had an excellent game and much of it was down to the dominance they enjoyed in the middle of the park. Zokora was the destroyer in the middle of the park who made sure Los Merengues attacks were limited.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Capel-c11100 – 6
Capel’s sizzling pace gave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Ramos-c33096 all sorts of trouble during the game but the Los Rojiblancos winger couldn’t deliver the right cross most of the times – a frustrating night for the Sevilla forwards.
Luis Fabiano – 5
The Brazilian was completely anonymous for the entire duration of the game and apart from one through ball in the first half; he was nowhere to be seen. Fabiano now looks a shadow of the player who dazzled so brightly at the world cup.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-Negredo-c5294 – 6
While Fabiano had a night to forget, his strike partner had a good match on the day. Negredo got himself into good positions throughout the game and was a handful for the Madrid rearguard. However, Negredo missed a glorious opportunity to open the scoring
when he ballooned his shot with only Casillas to beat.
Substitutes:
Jose Vazquez – 5
Vazquez was brought on with the result already sealed and had little time to make an impact.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lautaro-Acosta-c21762 – 5
Another substitute who was brought on too late to make an impact.
Alfaro – 5
Alfaro was brought on in the dying stages of the game and was hardly seen as the result was already sealed by then.
