For my Spanish 163 project, I have to make a real, authentic mexican dish. Can anyone tell me what I should make?

It has to be kind of easy to make

It can't be tacos or burritos

If you can give me a recipe link, plz do!!!!

  3. Lol....

If you take ANYTHING, and sprinkle it with lime juice, salt, and hot sauce, you're eating a mexican recipe!

My husband does that with the following things(he is from jalisco mexico):

Cueros en escabeche (sliced pig skins in vinegar),

    Sliced, peeled cucumber.

    Fish and shellfish

    fresh fruit

    Raw oysters

    chicharrones (fried pork rinds)

    Ramen noodles

    Corn

If you have a way to keep this hot, here's a great idea...this is served all over mexico, by street vendors, or people who sell food on the beaches:

    Make corn on the cob.

    spread it with sour cream.

    roll it in parmesean cheese.

sprinkle it with dried hot pepper

    sprinkle it with lime juice

Eat it....it is usually sold on a stick so you can hold it.

  5. i just did mine the other day.  it's really easy.

    Salsa de Tomatillos (Salsa Verde)

    1 large onion, chopped

1 lb. fresh Mexican green tomatoes (tomatillos)

2 fresh green chilies, chopped (depends how spicy you want it to be)

1 tbs. finely chopped coriander leaves (cilantro)

    1 cup chicken stock

    1 tbs. lemon juice

    Salt to taste

    1.  Remove husks from tomatillos.  Rinse well.

    2.  Put onion, tomatillos, chilies, and cilantro into blender.  Blend until smooth.

    3.  Add chicken stock and lemon juice.  Blend.

    4.  Add salt to taste.  Chill and serve with tortilla chips.
