What a way to kick things off in the new for Real Zaragoza, who managed an impressive victory over the all action Real Sociedad. It was up to midfielder Braulio to end his 4 month goal drought and score in what was the final minute of the match.
Zaragoza started the match in an emphatic fashion, feeding from the energy of the home crowd. With Sinama and Bertolo leading the attack, finding goals wouldn’t have been an issue. Both the strikers were in top form in recent weeks and they took no time
to find the early goal. It was Sinama who broke the dead lock on the tenth minute. The player managed to cut in from the right and used his powerful foot to take the shot in the centre of the goal. Ponzio set up the goal for the striker and Zaragoza were in
front.
The home side maintained most of the possession in the first half, as they enjoyed 60 percent of possession. The hosts got close to doubling their lead when Ander Herrara took a left footed shot, which was blocked by the goal keeper. It was then Sociedad’s
time to make their mark, when Llorente set up Xabi Prieto for the goal. Prieto found himself in a one on one situation with the goal keeper and managed a low shot from the right side of the box to the left corner. The scores were level at half time and 10th
place Real Sociedad were looking better than the hosts.
In the second half, Sociedad got close to finding the winner on multiple occasions. In-form striker Llorente had the chance to find the goal but narrowly missed on it. This was followed by a brilliant attempt from Grizmann. Any points dropped by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-Zaragoza-c40344
would have kept them glued to the bottom of the table and the manager knew the importance of this fixture. He introduced midfielder Braulio in the dying moments of the match.
What a substitution Braulio turned out to be as with just a few minutes remaining on the clock, the player managed a calm finish on the 90th minute, giving the home side something to cheer about. The whole stadium exploded with joy as Braulio
found the winning goal. It was slack defending from Sociedad, allowing Braulio to get behind the defence and then manage a neat finish.
All three points from this match mean Zaragoza are only 3 points behind Almeria, who currently top the relegation zone in the Spanish Primera Division. The side still has a match left and would keep a close check on the result of Almeria Hercules game to
be played in the coming weeks.
