Spanish Speakers, a little help?

Hey, I was just wondering, since I'm not exactly fluent in speaking spanish, how would you say "I would take a bullet for you" in spanish. My best guess would be "Tenería una bala para ti." Is this correct? Thanks in advance and any help is great appreciated. Thanks!
