In the verb "ser" the el ella conjugation is "es". Is this also the Usted conjugation? So instead of using "eres" towards a person of authority i would use "es"?

thank you

  1. Ud. es...    Is the proper way to say it.

  2. yes that's right.

    The table is also correct

    (yo) soy - I

    (tu) eres - you (singular)

(él, ella, Ud.) es - he, she, it, you (formal singular)

    (nosotros) somos - we

    (vosotros) sois - you (plural)

(ellos, ellas, Uds.) son - they, you (formal plural)

  3. Yes, example "usted es doctor" which means you're a doctor, "es" is used in "usted" since both are singular, the plural form for "usted" is "ustedes", "eres" is used just when you are usin "tu" which means "you" in the singular form. For "ustedes" insted you use "es", you use "son" which is the plural form of "es"
