Spanish Wedding tipped to win Mascot Grand National 07.05.12 Handicap
Spanish Wedding is tipped to win the Mascot Grand National 07.05.12 Handicap at Kempton in England on Monday, April 30, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will be given a cash prize of £2,264.
The going will be standard in the 1 mile 3 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 16:45 GMT, and a total of 12 runners have lined up for action in it. Their names are as follows: Dartford, Romantic, Spanish Wedding, Bounty Seeker, Harry Buckle, Beauchamp
Castle, Dynastic, Bramshill Lass, Dollar Bill, Welsh Nayber, Titus Star and Flying Trader.
Looking at the overall record of all runners, the bookmakers have shown faith in the abilities of Spanish Wedding, who seems to be in very good form at the moment. He is likely to attract a lot of bets in his favour today.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in three races until now, but has never managed to win any. The best he could manage was a runner up finish once, which shows that he is capable of fighting for top positions.
The Marco Botti’s trainee made his debut last year and was unable to make a significant impact in his first ever outing, as he finished sixth in it. He displayed a similar show in his next outing, thus was not expected to deliver a winning result next time
around as well.
However, Spanish Wedding improved his speed and finished runner up in his most recent race, which shows that he is carrying good rhythm at the moment. He started off well and kept on challenging his rivals until the end. Despite being unable to win, he impressed
one and all with his skills.
Today’s favourite runner will be partnered by Andrea Atzeni, who has won quite a few races at this level. He is not a consistent performer, as his strike rate is not impressive. He will need to be at his absolute best in order to attract more bets in the
future.
Other than the top favourite, Bounty Seeker will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he is in good form. He finished third in his most recent outing and will definitely challenge his rivals today.
