Spanish class problem? please help! i need somebody! help!?

today was the first day of school. i am in 10th grade and taking spanish 3. my teacher is Mr. Segrue. He speaks pretty much only in spanish and speaks very quickly. i am nervous about being called on because i don't like speaking in class unless i know the answer. i am afraid that i will not understand what he is saying and that i will be embarrassed. i am half puerto rican so people expect more of me. although, if i was fluent in spanish, i would be taking french..so...yea. my friend said that she had this teacher last year and she told him at the beginning of the year that she is shy and only to call on her when she raises her hand. should i do the same? what should i do? HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY! HELP! NOT JUST ANYBODY! HELP! YOU KNOW I NEED SOMEONE! HELP!!!!!!!!!!! thanx.

i had him last year lol. eventually, he's going to start dancing and he picks on everyone in the class. if he asks a question, try not to look at him when he expects an answer. instead, look down and write something in your notes or at least pretend to write something down so he notices your busy. it worked for me!
