  1. Oímos un ruido que venía de un arbusto. Creíamos que era de un animal salvaje como un oso, y al pensar esto, nos asustamos. John se acercó al arbusto y descubrió que la criatura solamente era un conejito.

We heard a noise coming from a bush. We thought it was from a wild animal like a bear, and on thinking this, we got scared. John approached the bush and discovered that the creature was just a little rabbit.

  2. 1-hide

    2-weird (or rare)

    3-looks like

    4-leave

    5-get near to

  3. wow - in one sentence? that's hard.

this is the best i could some up with:

Menti a mi profesor sobre el animal raro que parecia esconder cuando me acerque a el y no dejo ninguna huella en el polvo de la calle.

(there's an accent over the "i" in menti and parecia as well as the "e" at the end of acerque and the "e" in el and the "o" in dejo.)

translation: I lied to my teacher about the rare animal that seemed to hide when i approached it and left no trail in the dust of the road.

sorry it doesn't make a whole lot of sense!

  4. Esconder - He escondido en este bosque hace dos semanas.  I have been hiding in this forest for two weeks. (present perfect)

Raro - Hay algo muy raro de este situacion.  There is something very weird/peculiar about this situation. (present)

Parecer - Parece Jose tiene una novia. It seems that Jose has a girlfriend. (present)

Dejar - Dejame dormir! Let me sleep! (imperative-tu, present)

Mentir - Nunca de mi vida he mentido a mis padres.  Never in my life have I lied to my parents.  (present perfect)

I'm not positive how to use acercarse a.
