What is the most effective (and fastest) way to learn Spanish? I'm taking Spanish classes and would like to learn ahead because my teacher teaches fast. Any suggestions? I will award best answer points. :) Thank you!

You should go to your local bookstore that sells CD's and get a learn to speak spanish CD. Honestly the FASTEST and most EFFECTIVE way is immersion. Basically where you go to a spanish speaking country and have to make it. I'm going to assume that that's not an option. Rosetta Stone is a program used by the military and it's very effective. Like all languages though, you have to be patient and you have to be consistent about it. Watch Spanish soap operas. Basically you are going to know what's going on anyway because they are all the same but it will help as well. Good luck.

Watch alot of TV in spanish, listen to the people when they're talking in spanish and try to understan what are they saying..

Read magazines in spanish...

Try to memorize phrases, no words, complet phrases...
