Spanish horn? to chase evil away?

I was told years ago by an elderly spaniard woman about a red horn that is to be worn on a necklace or something. if worn it will chase evil away. does anyone know anything about it? does it have a specific name? thanks

Carry a crucifix - it's better than a red horn.

I don't know about Spain, but the Italian horn is said to ward off the "evil eye"
