  1. yes, I believe that is correct. when in mexico I remember fruits being servrd with all meals.

  2. Well,  I do not think this is a tradition at all.  In my family and all the Spanish families I know, and believe most of the families i know are Spanish ;o) have the fruit or deserts at the end of the meals.   Salad is the only thing that in some houses is taken as starter, others take it together with food, and others take it at the end of the meal

  3. You could eat melon as a starter, as in france and Italy.

But the deserts, like yogurts, cakes, apple.... are served at the end of the meal

  4. No, I'm Spanish and we usually take the desert at the final of the meal. I'm sorry but your teacher are not right.

I true that we take melon with iberic ham as a first dish but that's all.

Strawberry's, apples, pears, bananas, mango's..... are deserts

  5. I lived in Valencia, Spain for three months with a spanish family and we had fruit AFTER every meal..but it may vary between families (though i never talked to a student who didn't do the same as mine)

  6. I lived in Spain for 7yrs and always had fruit/yoghurt after a meal, never before.
