  1. como eres---> how do you like

como estas---< how are you ( feeelings)

  2. como estás - means How are you?  referring to how are you today.  I'm fine thanks.

como eres - means also How are you?  however, it refers to more how you are as a person.  Like what type of person are you.  I am very organized and punctual.

I hope that this makes sense

  3. Como eres?= How are you?  (meaning how a person is? Physically or in terms of personality.

If you are addressing a girl, she may answer "I'm tall and blonde"=Soy alta y rubia".

Como estas= How are you?   (meaning how do you feel?)

Answer: "yo estoy bien"= "I'm well".

  4. como eres is describing what kind of person you are

como estas is asking how are you (greeting wise)

they are pronounced the same way but mean two diff things

  5. como estas is asking sumone how theyre feeling. como eres is asking what they like i believe.

  6. "como eres" is asking "what are you like" or "what do you look like" and "como estas' is asking "how are you".

  7. Eres is a form of SER  The tú form, used to say YOU to a friend or someone younger than you are.

Estás is a form of Estar.  Tú, also.

    they both mean to be.

Ser is used with time and permanent things.

Estar is used with temporary conditions.

BEST translation for your two questions is:

¿Cómo eres?  means WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?  They are looking for a personal description.

¿Cómo estás? means HOW ARE YOU (FEELING)?
