Spanish sensation Ricky Rubio plans to head home if the NBA season is cancelled

Spanish Basketball star Ricky Rubio, who holds the record of being the first player born in 1990’s to be drafted by National Basketball Association, has declared that he will head home if the entire NBA season is cancelled as a
result of the ongoing labour dispute.
Despite of being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2009 NBA Draft as the fifth overall pick, the point guard stayed in Spain until June 2011 due to contractual obligation with FC Barcelona Regal.
He had only made his way to the Twin cities this summer; however, this time the NBA wasn’t ready for the 21-year-old and locked out its players on 1st July, few weeks after the 2010-2011 season came to an end.
Under these circumstances, Ricky Rubio has indicated that he will consider playing for his home team Barcelona once again;
"I want to wait until I see there is no chance of resolving the situation, and then I will sign with another team.  It would be nice to practice and play with the Gasols on Barca."
 “It’s fun to play with NBA players. It should make it easier when we come back to play. I’m going to stay here for a while to see if we’ll play. I can always go back to Spain. So I know I will be playing basketball somewhere this
season.” Ricky Rubio said.
Ricky Rubio is regarded as the best European guard prospect with the ability to become one of the finest players in the world. Although NBA is far more competitive and aggressive compared to the European circuit, however, Ricky
is expected to make a strong impact, once he gets the opportunity to turn up the action.
Helping him in his cause will be Kevin Love and company. The Minnesota Timberwolves might have been the worst team in the last two season, but slowly they have built a core of young players, who are now on the cusp of breaking
through.
The likes of Michael Beasley, Derrick Williams and Love will be instrumental in the next season and with a brilliant ball distributor like Rubio in the mix, the Wolves might just become a force to reckon with whenever action returns
to NBA.
