Spanish surnames?

my friend told me that the Spanish surname Obregon is derived from the Irish surname O'Brien. I know he is wrong, but they do sound simmilar... could he be right?

  3. I'm not sure but its very likely, both Ireland and Spain were inhabited by Celts before the time of the Romans, so they might have some words, and especially surnames that are similar to that of the Irish.

    But I doubt it, because that influence was almost wiped out by the Latin and Arabic influences.
