I would like to find a book for my 10 mth old that shows pictures with the name of the pictures in spanish or spanish & english. I'm trying to teach my daughter spanish while she's learning english (the rest of us speak english only). I know they have word books in english but any ideas on spanish ones??

  1. When my son turned one year old, he received a book called "Happy Baby Colors/Colores" by Roger Priddy.  This sounds exactly like what you're looking for, and it's a great book for a 10 month old.

  2. I do agree that dora is a great spanish resource...my 4 1/2 yr. old daughter has been speaking atleast beginner spanish for quite some time now, thanks to dora. i unfortunately am not bilingual and am being forced to learn along with her just to teach her.  she recieved a spanish learning pack for christmas that includes flash cards a story book with cassette a picture dictionary and a parents guide.  it is for older children but the flash cards may help you. even if you tape them to the object than repeat it in english and spanish.  here is the link to the website for the learning pack.

  3. try the dora the explorer books.  They show the pictures and spanish/engish translations. They are really colorful too.
