Wats the different btwn single electrod spark plugs and Twin electrod spark plugs?

Wich is good ?

Which is better NGK OR BOSCH?

Really the NGK IRIDIUM IX improvs two wheeler perfomence?

when choosing a brand of plug you have to think of where the vehicle was conceived for example japanese vehicles will run best on japanese plugs like ngk and denso. where a bmw will run better on bosh. as far as single or double electrode its just a scam a spark plug can only send an arc from one electrode at a time so its useless.(and even if they could throw multiple arcs if you throw a match into gas it goes poof if you throw 3 matches it makes the exact same poof).  so in short

ngk- Japanese bike

bosh- german bike

they've all got their ups and downs depends on which engine your going to use them in. Use what the manufacturer recommends, that's your best bet.

No difference that will help you out in anyway to improve anything.  Certain cars work better with certain plugs.  So do your research as to what plug actually works best with your engine.  With some of the older BMWS only a silver tip plug works well .. Others like platinum actually cause it to miss and cause hard starting..

That depend on the vehicle

If it is powerful than it will need twin electrod

and if it is durable than single elctrod

but in the maintenance region twin owner will pay more and lasts more than single

There are no real differences.

The major difference was with the invention of hard metal tips (platinum and Iridium).  But the difference is that the hard metal tips last 100K miles (instead of 30K miles for copper tips).

But saying "long lasting" isn't s**y and doesn't sell more plugs.  But saying "MORE POWER" IS s**y and does sell more plugs.

more electrodes give you more "opportunity" for a hotter spark, as a spark jumps to an electrode, it tends to corrode it, and that corrosion leads to higher resistence...

what multiple electrodes do is give your spark another option as to where to ground (with less resistence) it will fire off one electrode until it's resistence gets higher than the other electrode then it will spark off the other electrode, it's that simple

ngk and bosch are both good brands, and both perform the exact same purpose, get whichever you like better...

When your bike was made, a lot of thought went into what plugs to use. If you are talking about sportbikes that is especially true with things like hollow sodium filled valves and teflon/ceramic coated pistons. The big four put incredible thought into each and every part that goes into their engines. When you are going for bragging rights for HP every little thing makes a difference. If something as simple as double or tripple electrodes gave measureable increases in HP, every single sportbike from the factory would have them.

Any major brand name that is approved for OEM replacement will be fine. With the price of plugs, there is no reason to save money, but there is also no reason to blow money on something that doesn't offer anything in return.

I have also heard people say that some computerized ignitions don't like the funky feedback they get from twin electrode plugs, but I have no idea if that is true.
