  1. Changing plugs won't help; use the manufacturer's recommended units.  It is possible that a tune-up, and maybe replacing plug wiring, would be helpful, but it is very easy to oversell these services, so consult a trustworthy dealer.  Modern automobiles are almost entirely under computer control, so aftermarket modifications (which the computer won't understand) are unlikely to be helpful.

  2. buy some Denso or Ngk plugs, they work best on Import cars.

give your car a complete tune up.

make sure no "engine light" is on.

  3. Plugs wont hurt but likely wont help as much as a complete tune up.

  4. You can usally look under the hood are on the radiator cover and they will have a sticker telling you what plugs and the setting to use .You should go ahead and replace the fuel filter & the plug wire's a long with a new rotor & distbutor cap , be sure to check your air filter & pcv value ,while your at it , that should put you back in good shape.
