It depends upon whether it is a 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engine.

4 = 1342

6 = 153624

8 = sorry, can't remember.

the V8's have several configs but if the engine is stock many have the firing order cast on the intake manifold

different makes of motors also are diff.firing orders
