  1. well this is a huge hill to climb, but with his size he won't last long if you make him work inside the square circle. 1st you need to be tremendous shape so you can continue to circle him, you must keep moving and that take up alot of energy for both combatants and the whole time you're circling him you need to pot shot(1 punch at a time) and make sure most of those go to his big belly, eventually he'll start to get frustrated which should work toward your advantage. but one ollllld school trick is to hit him in the chest area that make breathing for him alot tougher.

  2. Don't go in there having a slugfest with him because if he is well skilled the power behind those punches will put you into next year. I weighed that much and got beaten up by guys that size and weight by their speed and power. You have as much power as the the bigger guy.

Have fun and make sure your gloves are well padded. Make sure you have mouthguards.

  3. first = it is a ridiculous match up. Boxing has weight classes for a reason.

Second = you are worried about his heavy hands... in a sparring set? You guys need to look up what sparring is meant to be about...

Southpaw = keep circling to his right. Slip right side if he jabs. He wont have the balance to throw a punch if you move away from his power hand. Your best options would be to keep moving. If he is any good, he will however step in front of you and cut off the ring. Worse case scenario for you is being cornered. Cuz it sounds that this guy takes up some space... With this much weight difference he will likely push you around like a doll if you are cornered or in a clinch.

Keep low - I mean seriously low. Fat dudes don't punch nearly as hard downwards. If he is in shape you may have to just out work him. Land clean bodyshots (and cover up) so his legs start to slow. If he is not in shape, staying low and moving quick will see him lowering his hands a lot. If you are fast enough - and you should be - you can land a few clean ones on the head.

If you see him throw, step back or away. With timing most of the strength will be out of his punch. But if he is smart enough, he will use that against you and steer you in a corner or against the ropes.  And we established that = stay away from the ropes. Less you want sore ribs for the next two weeks...

But again = sparring with someone who has a 100lbs on you is only smart if he is going to teach you something, and if you can practice a routine with him. If it is just a slug fest you will regret it after he puts some weight behind his body shots or head shots...

  4. WOW! big difference you would have to use your speed and agility to avoid his shots and wear him down.

  5. Just hide his twinkies and when he starts crying, hit him in the nose.

  6. don't get inside with this guy he'll drop bombs i'm guessing that you are much faster than this guy so stay on the outside watch your counter punches and always watch your foot position when you are fighting a south paw stay away from his left hand frustrate him from the outside with mean and quick counter punches good luck

  7. just keep doing what you been learning to do. stick the jab, keep your feet steady and balanced but don't stop moving, he's a little taller so go to the body more since you'll be able to reach that better, and make sure you warm up before you start. good luck
