  1. upto about £100

  2. What everyone else is saying is credible, just backing them up.

  3. If you get it directly from the distributor (online), it would cost less. But, the average for a mouthpiece, punches, kicks and head gear would be a little over $100 - if you're purchasing it from the dojo owner. I'd call that reasonable - however, anything much more than that is overpriced.

  4. Take a look around but

    Hands, feet, head, mouthpiece

usually anywhere from $75-$140 but you can find deals that will save.

  5. Depends on the brand and what exactly you get. Some school's require only the hand and foot pads, while others may require hand, foot, head gear, mouth piece, shin guards and the like. The more you buy, the more it adds up.

I upgraded my sparring year a few years ago and bought the Macho brand 'Warrior' set of hand, foot, and head gear. I bought it through my instructor who placed a large order so shipping was free. The whole thing ended up costing me close to $80.00.

But you can get out for a good bit less I'm sure. The last link I gave you has some good package deals between 50 - 90 dollars.

  6. It's cheaper to get it as a set but foot gear wears out fast so you might want to invest in nicer foot gear.

  7. You can spend as much as you want - boxing gloves alone can be from $20 for lousy ones up to $150 and up for nice leather.  Same goes for head gear, mouth pieces, cups, shin and instep guards, helmets.  Some schools require rib guards and elbow pads too.

Find out what you need to get from your instructor - some schools will let you use "house" gear at first, and some students will pass used gear along when they upgrade.

I reccomend you spend your money wisely - get good gloves with a velcro type close that you can put on without help ($65-80) and a good mouthpiece ($25).  The other gear can be cheaper to start off, and you can upgrade later.

Link to Title Boxing below - they have well priced, decent quality products - Throwdown is Title's MMA line, and it's well made too.

  8. It varies.  A full set can range from about $60 up to $200.
