Question:

Sparse Brows - Product Application?

I have a bad habit of plucking hairs, including my eyebrow hairs. This isn't tweezing for aesthetic purposes, it's more like nail biting. So please don't just tell me to quit, because I'm already trying that. I'm pretty good with make up, but I've never done much with my brows. I have a pencil I use to fill it in a little when it gets too sparse, but it doesn't work as well as I'd like it to, and I think I might have better results with other products like gels and powders. I am probably going to buy a little powder with a stiff brush to apply it. I'm thinking about also getting a clear gel, like a clear mascara. I'm just not sure whether that can be used in conjunction with the powder or not, and whether I should apply it before or after the powder. Any ideas?

  1. Viki, I too have sparse brows and I use brush on brow by aularale.com/7002.  It works quite well.

  2. First of all, you need to stop plucking. I know you said you're trying, but if you're that addicted, give your tweezers to a friend and have them give them back in a month. You could also try this product to make your brows fuller. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh... When it comes to filling in the brow for now, powders are the most natural. Find an eyeshadow in your shade, or try a brow kit. I love this one from Benefit. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh... You could also try using clear mascara to groom your brows in the right direction. Hope this helps!

  3. how about a permanent make up for your brows?

it won't matter anymore if you pluck the hair out or not.

I would not combine powder and gel... you might end up with a undefinable mass in your face...

for powder + mascara, first use the powder, then the mascara.
