Former Krylia Sovetov manager believes CSKA Moscow will find it difficult to win the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against Spartak despite latest signings.
The former CSKA Moscow head coach, Aleksandr Tarkhanov, has admitted that Spartak Moscow have a decent chance to win the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against the Moscow-based club at home.
“Spartak are stronger than CSKA at the moment. They are committing fewer mistakes as compared to the Koni.” The 57-year-old was quoted as saying.
Tarkhanov revealed that CSKA, the out-of-form Russian outfit, are going through a bad spell, having failed to win in their last 3 outings including the UEFA Champions League return leg defeat against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu.
Tarkhanov revealed that Spartak can take advantage of the upcoming home game to better the Armeytsy, who are yet to win a league game during the third league round. CSKA recorded back-to-back league draws against Zenit St. Petersburg
and Dynamo Moscow.
Tarkhanov admitted that the Armeytsy are lacking in confidence, revealing that CSKA are heartbroken after their humiliating defeat in Europe. Though the Koni managed to hold the Madrid-based club in Russia, they failed to stop
them advancing to the quarter-finals after suffering a 5-2 defeat on aggregate.

The former FC Khimki manager revealed that though CSKA managed to sign decent players during the winter transfer window, the Koni will struggle to reclaim the league title this season.

will be a top player in the near future, adding that the latest signings will take time to settle down in Moscow.
Speaking on Zoran Tosic, Tarkhanov revealed that the striker is going through a rough patch in his career and urged the Russian Cup winner to rediscover his form.
