The Russian Premier League club fans needs to be more patient before criticizing Unai Emery as it’s still too early to make a conclusion about the Spanish tactician
Any big club with tradition and history of victories in the past are forced to live under pressure in principle. However, it does not mean that they should sit back and wait for the right time to shape up.
Spartak Moscow, who possess a rich history after winning most league titles since the inception of Russian Premier League, are experiencing big problems despite signing experienced head coach, Unai Emery, this summer.
Emery replaced Valery Karpin after promising to take the team to similar heights, the club had been accustomed to, a few years ago.
Karpin, who resigned from the managerial position after surviving an exciting summer to ensure the Moscow-based club’s second-spot finish last season, suggested the club’s management to sign experienced coach in Emery.
Nonetheless, the Myaso succeeded in signing an experienced coach with progressive thinking, young age, decent track record accompanied by a hunger to win during this summer.
Emery, who arguably built http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-CF-c40864 as a strong fortress after helping them in securing UEFA Champions League’s berth in consecutive seasons, faces a difficult task in an unfamiliar league.
And it looks like the Red-Whites' decision to replace Karpin does not seem to work here as Emery is experiencing life difficult at Moscow. Football analysts are blaming the Spanish tactician’s methods, referring him as a complete
failure following an bad start to the season.
Here it should be noted that tactics and essential training methods are really important but the most important thing for a coach is the team management. As things stand, Spartak are fragmented and heterogeneous as there is no
unity.
There is little arguing to the statement that the critics hardly pointed out a finger at Emery’s failure to lose their opening two group stage matches in the UEFA Champions League against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Barcelona-c39078 and Celtic respectively.
The Spanish tactician has been deeply criticized for Spartak’s unconditional 2-0 defeat in the league tie against arch rivals, CSKA Moscow, at Luzhniki stadium in mid-October and their Russian Cup exit at hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 last
month.
However, one can hardly blame the former Real Sociedad man entirely for Spartak’s unimpressive run after reckoning the fact that he dealt with several injured players after joining the Moscow-based club this summer.
Players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kim-c20955 Kallstrom and Romulo missed crucial matches after remaining on the sidelines following their injuries.
Emery, in turn, has openly criticized the team’s defence that has conceded more goals the team have actually scored this season.
There is little arguing to the statement that the Spartachi have conceded more fouls than any other team over the past three years. So, there is no wonder why they continue to foul a lot this year.
Consequently, Emery needs to help the Russian outfit in becoming more disciplined and organized team.
The fans, on the other hand, need to be more patient and give their manager more time to settle things down in order to be successful and put them back on track after a slow start to the season.
