Unai Emery has defended his decision to play Demy de Zeeuw in the UEFA Champions League play-off round return leg against the Turkish giants on Wednesday
Spartak Moscow head coach, Unai Emery, has described the tactical changes and the nature of the UEFA Champions League play-off round return leg against Fenerbahce at
Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
The Spartachi recorded a 1-1 draw in the return leg prior to their 2-1 first-leg home win over the Turkish giants a week ago. The Red-whites are now awaiting their next opponents in the group stages.
Emery could not hide his feeling after helping the Russian outfit in reaching the group stages of the continental tournament, admitting that the Moscow-based club bettered the opposition on the field despite playing on the away
turf.

“We are always working on the tactical side of the game. Everything that you see on the field is that we somehow are accumulating in training. Thank you to those who supported us and I am grateful to the fans for having been with
us today.”
“Now our players are strong in spirit and self-confidence, but they are tired.” The former Real Sociedad coach was quoted as saying.
