The Russian striker has expressed his desire to play more games in the European tournament and shared his point of views on putting a limit to foreign players in Russia
Spartak Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artem-Dzyuba-c6682, has expressed his delight after he was named in the provisional 26-man squad for the upcoming European tournament, Euro 2012.
However, the 23-year-old has to work very hard to get himself in the starting line-up, as he faces stiff competition from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pavel-Pogrebnyak-c29501.
Dzagoev is expected to join the training camp later this month after sustaining a muscle injury while playing for the Moscow-based club in the third Russian Premier League round. On the other hand, Arshavin, Pavlyuchenko, Pogrebnyak
and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576 have failed to impress recently.
Dzyuba has admitted that he has been eagerly awaiting a chance to impress in the coveted tournament, and assured the fans of meeting their expectation by displaying quality football on the pitch.
“I am glad to have overcome all difficulties after making it to the top but at the same time I have no idea which position I will be useful for the team. I am even ready to play. I try to remain optimistic and work harder in training.”
The Russian forward was quoted as saying.
Dzyuba, who remained at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-c35214 Tomsk on a loan spell before joining Spartak Moscow in 2011, is in fine nick of form. Though, he has been used as an attacking midfielder at the Moscow-based club, the Russian national has scored 11
goals from 41 league appearances.
Speaking on whether the Russian Football Union need to impose a limit on a number of foreign players in a team, Dzyuba insisted that the union should describe a limit on foreigners if they want to promote talented Russian players.
“If they will not put a limit, it’s possible that people will no longer see a Russian player on the fields. Hence there will be no a significant development or progress. Clubs will invest heavily to bring world-class players and
the young Russian players will sit on bench.” Dzyuba concluded.
