Spartak Moscow’s Valery Karpin blasts Zenit St. Petersburg’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergei-Semak-c32976
Spartak Moscow coach, Valery Karpin, has blasted the outspoken forces in the Russian Premier League who criticize the club’s style of play. The manager was clearly not in the best of moods and singled out Roman Shirokov and Sergei Semak for criticism.
Karpin said that the opposing forces need to focus on their performance rather than investigating and discussing Krasno-belye. The fact that Spartak are the most decorated club in the Russian Championship history makes the envious forces speak louder, the
tactician believes.
“It's OK, talk about ‘Spartacus’ when you talk about any other team, it's very few people interested. And speaking of the Spartacus makes people popular. Everything is logical.” The 42-year-old lashed out.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Sociedad midfielder hit out at Zenit midfielders, Roman Shirokov and Sergei Semak, insisting that they should look at themselves before making gossip about some other club.
“They do nothing. Football is not played.” The gaffer went on.
Karpin also highlighted that the media is making life difficult for the Svinji by making up rumours and stories. He advised his players to relax in the break rather than helping the media in making up stories.
“I think it's more than enough. In football two workouts a day, different procedures, and excessive presence of your colleagues is not conducive to peace. Players need rest. And you don’t have to answer every rumour every day. Sometimes, when the situation
demands it, we tell the players about the need to answer the reporters.” Karpin concluded.
Spartak Moscow’s under achieving results, lacklustre form and the defeat against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 in the UEFA Europa League quarter-final forced the manager to resign from his duties. Karpin is currently acting as a caretaker manager for Spartak until the club
hierarchy choose a suitable person to lead the charges.
The Moscow-based club made their worst start to the league in years, losing 6 of the opening 18 matches.
Club chairman, Leonid Fedun, has been sweating over the team management. Cash is being splashed to reinforce the squad and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demy-de-Zeeuw-c10825 from Eredivisie club, Ajax Amsterdam, has been added to the roster.
Spartak Moscow are currently at the seventh spot on the league table, level on points with Kuban Krasnodar and three points short of the UEFA Europa League spot.
