Spartak Nalchik’s Sergei Tashuyev laments defeat against CSKA Moscow: Russian Premier League news

In the aftermath of Spartak Nalchik’s 4-0 defeat against CSKA Moscow, Spartak head coach, Sergei Tashuyev, has bemoaned the luck factor and insisted that the Orly could have drawn against the Armeytsy at Luzhniki stadium.

CSKA forward Vagner Love put the home side ahead by scoring before halftime and Seydou Doumbia managed to score a hat-trick inside the last ten minutes of the game in what was an entertaining match that showed quality football.

Tashuyev is of the opinion that the Orly should have closed down the Koni strikers and rued missed opportunities during the match.

The Russian manager went on to reveal that Spartak missed enough chances for an equalizer and said that the result could have been different had they scored.

“The match could have ended up in a 1-1 draw but it finished 0-4. In the second half we were on top of the opposition, had good approaches to the penalty area and had created good chances. Unfortunately, we did not score.” Tashuyev was quoted as saying.

Speaking on the substitution of the club captain, Miodrag Dzudovic, the former FC Krasnodar manager revealed that he replaced the Montenegrin footballer as the former Volyn Lutsk player had sustained a knock during the match.

Tashuyev praised CSKA strikers, Love and Doumbia, and insisted that Spartak need to alter the defence if they are to come out of the drop zone.

“Vagner and Doumbia put pressure on our defence right from the start. In the second half we managed to play better. Spartak need to emphasize on defence while they also need a little attention on the team attack.”

However, the Russian manager refused to talk about the last defeat against Lokomotiv Moscow and insisted that he is tired of answering it again and again.

After the defeat, Spartak have now fallen down to the fifteenth spot and are edging closer to the bottom of the table. The Russian outfit are in a relegation battle with FC Tom Tomsk.

Tashuyev urged his team to fight for their Russian Premier League survival, telling them to emphasize on the upcoming crunch home tie against FC Amkar Perm.
