Speaker Question Home Stereo?

I just bought some speakers from a pawn shop and the tweeters in both of them were bad. I am trying to find replacements.

The Original Tweeters:

If I buy:

Will they fit right in there and work well? Or is there another pair I should buy? I heard the Piezo's are good because they hardly ever go bad.

  1. They seem to work fine !

  2. Piezos are a little harsh at moderate to high volume, but they are very durable, as you have heard. If you need durability and would like a better sounding speaker, try ribbons. If durability isn't a major concern, buy the best standard dome speaker you can afford.

    Edit:

  3. Peizos are harsh at any power level. I would try to get an exact match of the type of tweeters that were in them to avoid trouble with mismatching the crossover frequency curves. Check out PartsExpress.com.  They have a great selection and quite reasonable prices.
