Car: 07 Mazda 6

Currently Have: 10inch rockford sub and 1000watt sony 1 channel amp from my old car

Speaker size needed: 6x 8

Goal:To have the best sounding system using the sub and amp I have and my stock head unit. The most important thing to me is clarity and a good balance. I want it to sound really good and don't care too much about bass. I would like all of this for under $600 if possible.

I plan on using the stock 6 disk cd changer, because I would have to get a kit/adapter because the cd player is not just the standard rectangle shape. I was quoted $220 for the adapter.

My planSpend good amount on the speakers-I was thinking of getting Infinity Kappa 680.9, but don't know if these will sound good with my stock 6 disk changer. Because the speakers require more watts.

Please let me know what you would do?

Thank you!

  1. Some of the best sounding speakers are as follows...Focal,CDT,Boston Acoustics...These are among the best sounding speakers in my opinion.I bought a pair of CDT 6.5" seperates and never looked back.By far one of the best sounding speakers Ive owned. My other choices are listed...focal then Boston Acoustics.

Oh and the CDT I got were 110watts rms and still sounded great with my stock dodge radio....they sounded even better when I upgraded my stock radio to an alpine.
