I currently have a surround sound system in my room. The tuner is 150 watts, front speakers are 50 watts each with impedance 6 ohms each. Satellite speakers are 40 watts each and with impedance of 16 ohms each. I want to buy a subwoofer for my system. I am planning on buying a more lower end subwoofer. It is a 20 watt RMS and 40 watt peak with impedance of 4 ohms. Will this work with my stereo system?http://shop3.frys.com/product/5543770?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

  1. This is a powered sub-woofer.  You do not have to bother about the impedance--it has it's own amplifier inside.  It has a speaker-level input so that you can run it from one of the speaker outputs of your amp.
