Recently my volume control for my speakers has stopped working and is broken, i am wondering would they sell the volume control seperatley from the speakers or am i going to have to buy a whole new speaker system, i got these speakers about 5 years ago and they are still pretty nice, but im sure there is no warranty. I've heard of other people having problems with the control but they cant expect you to buy a whole new speaker set just for the volume controller.

  1. Take to authorized dealer for repair.

  2. I assume this is an unamplified ordinary speaker.  You should be able to fix it.

If you can remove the broken control from the speaker, replace it with what is called an "L-pad".   You would need to know the speaker impedance.  Get one with that matches the speaker impedance.  You can find them at electronics stores.

    Amazon.com has some 8-ohm types:

If the "broken" control is stuck in the full-on position, then you can add the L-pad externally.

NOTE:  You will find these in typical speaker impedance values of 4, 8 and 16 ohms.  If you speaker is not one of these, get the closest value.

  3. i believe the company has the part in stock for 5years. replace it!
