  1. Although the wire can pass about 30-40 amps. which will  handle 400 watts. The length would decrease its capacity very quickly. It would be ok if the wire was a foot long. But im sure the distance from the battery to your amp is at least 12feet. So therefore, it will not be sufficent. With that size amp. A $20 wal-mart 8gauge get up would do you just fine, plus you will have everything you need.

  2. it would work fine for nominal use. four is better. one solid 4-2gauge cable would be the optimal for a 400-600watt amp.

one thing to remeber is when you want to hook up an aftermarket system in your ride, its always best to run the biggest power and ground cables and the best rca's. the remote wire can stay at 14-12guage. make sure that each cable is one solid strand from the battery or source all the way back to the power capacitors or amp for the best performance in sound. this is just incase if in the future you want to instal a bigger amp, you don't have to tear your car apart again to change cable size the second time around. you can use a disbursment block to run thinner cable at your prefered size for amp from there.

  3. if your amp out has an impedance of 4 ohms

you can conect 2 speakers of 8 ohms each one but paralell

same power both speakers. Otherwise your sound will be S****y. There's a rule

in order the power be max : power out must be same that power on speakers

  4. not recomended

it will be fine for a while but then one day as your driving along your car will fill with smoke and the smell of melting plastic, then your cappets will catch fire and you will burn horably.

if you are putting in a sytem do it right first time not bodge it and worry about it later.

go to your local audio dealer and ask for a amp wiring kit.

it will cost you about £25 and it will come with earth, live, gold platted rca's, speaker wire, in line 70amp fuse and gold plated ring and fork conections for amp and battery.

DO NOT RISK IT for £25 and prob having to wait a week or so to save the extra money

  5. no, you will melt the wire causing an electrical short, that could possible fry entire wiring harnesses in your car costing thousands to fix

you can use multiple wires to "fool" an electrical system because electricity always follows the path of least resistance which means, if 1 wire is a 1/4 inch shorter than the other that is the wire the electricity will flow through- ignoring the others
