I have a 2.1 stereo system that only has a input that similar to a heaphone jack. My TV however doesn't have an input for the jack, is there any kind of converter that I can buy that would allow me to plug the jack into it and play it through component cables to the TV?

  1. Here's one example that converts RCA to headphone:

You need to list what connections the TV has.  I just assumed the red and white stereo connections.

  2. get a 3.5mm headphone jack cable to Analog audio (red and white RCA) from radioshack or walmart or something.  then take red and white audio out of the tv and plug the 3.5mm headphone jack into the 2.1 and you are ready to go.  you can also use the same cable for plugging an ipod or mp3 into a tv or stereo system.  (red and white to audio in on receiver or stereo)
