Speakers Don't Work Anymore?

ok well my friend came home one day right.

and this is what happend

he moved his mouse and it took him to the place where you pick your user to log in to ur personal user

*he loggs in*

when he turned on his internet to listen to music no audio comes just a fuzzy noise

he restarts his computer twice

still no audio

what happend because his computer the day before was working fine with the audio

and yes his audio is not on mute or something its been like 2 months and they said they tried EVERYTHING

what happend? how can he fix it?

  1. Try the speakers in another computer, see if they work. See if the wiring is in bad condition or if its messed up. If not then check your audio drivers, to see if they're up to date. If they are, then uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

    If that doesn't work, either your speakers are done for (due to water damage or maybe something else)... or maybe the sound card burned out (?? maybe).


  2. Make sure the speaker wires are plugged all the way in to the tower. If hes using a sub.. I had the same problem. Some of the connectors on the back of the sub went bad out of nowhere and I had to plug just the main speakers in. Hope this helps

  3. make sure there plugged in. if so go into master volume controll turn up EVERYTHING and make sure nothing is muted
