I have a ford contour all speakers quit but rear passenger. I have replaced the stereo with Kenwood CD unit and that didn't fix the problem. Pleas help me get the speakers working. I don't know much about car stereos but know the electronic part the stereo like how to run it and adjust it. The speakers where working when I got it 3 weeks ago at the end of June when driving home about 4 miles up the road they all quit but the rear passenger one. pleas feel free to answer on here or email me at rcheatle2007@windstream.net so i can fix it soon and then hook up the subs i got. if you live in pa and around the elk county ill pay you a reasonable amount to fix it with out ruining the car thank you all who reply. I have wiggled the wires where the head unit goes in but nothing.

  1. sounds like you blew your speakers. you can get some sheap replacements at walmart or bestbuy. if you dont want to ruin your car i would have them installed professionally because they have all the tools to get out the old speakers without ruining any paneling, vinyl or any thing else.  but if your speakers are easily accesible you should just put them in yourself.

(befor buying new speakers test the old ones with a stereo you know works)

also some older cars speakers, esp fords, have common grounds, or they all conect to the same neg point but you will have to ask a pro about that.
