I know I need an a/v source. I have one ( http://www.amazon.com/RCA-VH920-Video-Source-Selector/dp/B00000J4BC ) but I don't know how to set it up. How do I? There is a thin black, thin white, thin red, and thin green cord, 2 thick black cords, and a medium white cord that looks like a phone cord. What do I do with them??

  1. The device in the image is not an av source.  you need a receiver that has proper speaker outlets to support multiple pairs of speakers.  The you would have standard speaker ports from which you would run standard speaker wire to the wall mounted speakers.

Word of advice- The cable runs to surround speakers tend to be long,  You will get better sound quality if you use heavier wire.  I like Monster Cable, but there are other quality brands out there.
