Question:

Speakers that make engine noises?

So, this might sound a little corny, but on Pimp My Ride, a car once got hooked up with a sound system that when he revved his engine, the speakers sounded as if he were revving up a Ferrari or a big truck. So how exactly did they do this and might there be a web site that I can look into something like this?

Thank you!

  1. hi jacob,

i remember that episode of pimp my ride. what you're looking for is what they call a vroom box.

a vroom box uses a micro processor to digitally recreate the sounds of cars and from what i've read you could download more car sounds and effects off the web.

here's a link to their site.

    http://www.vroombox.com/vroombox/

and contrary to what people thing its not that pricey.

    hope this helps.

  2. Check into the VroomBox

    http://www.vroombox.com/vroombox/

  3. pimp my ride goes above and beyond with crazy add on

most likely if there is a way it could be very expensive

and a lot of the stuff they do they make themselves..
